In the simplest sense, NetLdn is about spending a bit of time each month, socialising with your fellow Networking professionals.
NetLdn was founded following the success of NetMcr. Similar to the organisers of NetMcr we noticed a void in London’s techni-social calendar. Whilst the majority of ‘meetings’ in London focus on development, NetLdn focuses specifically on Network Engineers, Architects, Technicians, or perhaps just anyone interested in the profession.
The NetLdn events are presently held on the second Thursday of each month at 19:00, upstairs at The Wheatsheaf. The beer is delicious, and so are the pies; it’s a perfect spot for socialising (with or without the alcohol) and also provides enough space for us to present slides.
We’re keen to foster good social networking, perhaps a chance to vent over a pint or two, and to throw in a little learning along the way. There’s no ‘entry requirement’ in terms of knowledge, and the event itself is free to attend (we just ask that you don’t bring any food or drink along, out of respect to our hosts).
We do publish a Participation Policy, which all first time guests are encouraged to read before attending.
If you’re interested in coming along, please do subscribe to the community mailing list, the link is in the menu up the top, and follow us on Twitter if that’s your thing.
